By accessing dogescapegame.com (the "Site") you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not accept the Terms, please stop using the Site. We may update the Terms when we ship new features or adjust our infrastructure, and continued use after changes means you agree to the revised version.

1. About the Service

Dog Escape curates browser-friendly games and related news. The Site runs on Next.js, serves static content, and hosts interactive experiences via Cloudflare's edge network. You can browse without registering an account or paying a fee.

2. Eligibility

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization and that it accepts these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

We grant you a limited, revocable license to access the Site for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

  • Probe or bypass security controls, inject malicious code, or disrupt the network.
  • Scrape, mirror, or harvest content at a scale that degrades performance.
  • Use the Site to violate laws, infringe intellectual property, or harass others.
  • Commercialize Site content without written permission.
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with Dog Escape or imply endorsement.

4. Content Ownership

We retain rights to original text, layout, and branding on the Site. Games, artwork, music, and trademarks originating from third parties remain the property of their respective owners and are used under license or fair-use principles. Except as allowed by law, you may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without permission.

5. Feedback

If you send us bug reports, suggestions, or other feedback, you grant Dog Escape a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and display that material for the purpose of improving the Site and related projects. We will not attribute the feedback to you unless you ask us to or the law requires it.

6. Third-Party Services

Some games or utility widgets are embedded from external providers. Their functionality and data practices are controlled by those providers, not by Dog Escape. Interactions with those services are solely between you and the provider, and you should review their terms and privacy policies before engaging.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Site up and responsive, but downtime may occur due to maintenance, deployment errors, external dependencies, or force majeure. Content, features, and games may change or be removed without notice.

8. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties regarding accuracy, uptime, compatibility, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee the behaviour of third-party games or advertisements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dog Escape and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, or service interruption. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will not exceed the greater of USD $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (typically zero).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dog Escape, its team members, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of another person's rights.

11. Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or block access to the Site, specific IP addresses, or embedded services at any time if we believe there is a security risk, policy violation, or misuse. You may stop using the Site at any time; provisions that by nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, liability, indemnification) will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of business, excluding conflict-of-law principles. If a dispute arises, the parties will first attempt to resolve it informally. If that fails, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless a mandatory law requires a different forum.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may modify the Terms when we update features, onboard new partners, or respond to legal requirements. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. By continuing to use the Site after the effective date of an update, you agree to the revised Terms.

14. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision is deemed unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms represent the complete agreement between you and Dog Escape.
  • No waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
